BK Built is Matt Krueger's shop today, with subcontractors and trade partners joining as the jobs grow. We say we because that is how we work: with customers, with partners, and with the people who taught us.
Hands first, then everything else.
Started in a garage
We started out of a garage, with our own tools and the tools of our Dad and Grandpas, who showed us how it is done. A few of those tools still do the work today.
We source tools and materials second hand when we can: Craigslist, estate sales, flea markets, Meta Marketplace. We like bringing old tools back to life, and refurbishing is a service we offer too.
We still start small and learn by doing, and we are happy to show you how.

Honest limits
We are registered in Pennsylvania. If a job needs a trade we are not licensed for, we say so and refer it out.
A clean finish
We clean up and walk the work with you before we call it done. If you want to watch, ask or help, we will make room.
A partner from afar
We lean on a partner from afar, and we want to say so. Ryan Benda is a veteran who served three tours. He now builds homes in Arizona, and before that he ranched in Montana, Washington, Nebraska and Michigan. We bounce ideas off each other all the time to make sure we stay the course and deliver a good product. Ryan, thank you for your service, and for still serving others by building great and unique things.
Where we come from
Before this, Matt spent his career in retail and consumer products, in senior roles across softlines (footwear) and hardlines (sporting goods), scaling teams around the world. Today he consults on AI and digital commerce and stays hands on.
We believe shopping is about to change, and we want to help people and small businesses change with it. We teach what we know, and then we put our hands to work.
We are a start-up, and we say so
We are moving fast and not everything is here yet. We are putting technology to work in how we quote, schedule and talk with you, so you always know what we plan to do and when.
